Pooling
May 2004, Bristol
In order to further my practice into theory, I spent six months experimenting with digital positives within the traditions of fine art printmaking. The project explores temporal spacial perspective through a series of polymer gravure prints.
'Pooling' summarises how visitors perform their weekly routine within the communal space of a local swimming pool. By drawing the viewer into the space, the images attempt to offer an alternative to the accepted single lens reality.
The portfolio consists of eight prints in editions of eleven. They were exhibited at R.K Burts, Spike Island, Royal West of England Academy, Galleri Allmenningen As. |
